I helped to develop a new app for Housekeep, which is now used by all their housekeepers to keep track of their schedules. The focus was performance comparable to native, and a seamless on/offline experience. The app was built using Ionic 2, and was very well received by the users.
I developed Blink's (formerly Kimono) Android app using Ionic. This allowed me to use the existing Angular services being used by the browser-based app to get it up and running quickly. I tweaked the app extensively for performance and actually ended up removing Ionic and Angular!
At Osper I helped add new features to their Cordova-based app, and also improved unit testing where there was previously no coverage.
I was working as a front end developer on WHY Analytics at VisualDNA. I worked with designers to code the app using HTML and SASS. I also used AngularJS extensively.
NewInWeb is a blog where I frequently post about the latest web technologies.
A personal project I created to test out the latest ES6+ features, and also get back into SVG manipulation which I had previously done with Map Quiz.
An app which counts down to Christmas Day, and provides a gift each day during December, including a free Christmassy wallpaper. Over 30,000 daily active users up to Christmas 2016, and an average rating of 4.7 stars on the Play Store. The app is Cordova-based, but on Android I created multiple native widgets for users' home screens.
A simple Android app which helps users do the Couch to 5K running programme. It features a timer for each of the 27 exercises in the programme, and gives audio notifications telling the user when to run and when to walk. It has over 200 5-star ratings, and more than 50,000 downloads.
Cordova-based game on Android and iOS in which users must guess the country.
Personal project based on a section of the animated Pokémon show where a silhouette is shown and the viewer has to guess the Pokémon. The game has had over 1 million visitors since its launch.
I finished top of my class with First Class Honours. I was also very active socially, as a DJ for three years at the campus station, Flirt FM, and as chairperson of one of the university's largest societies.
